Why isn't this just included in the plan price?
To keep our tier prices low, we don't bake estimated usage into the base plan. That wouldn't be fair to organizations who don't want extra features they'd end up subsidizing for everyone else. Billing recording separately, only for the orgs that turn it on, is how we stay a much cheaper alternative than apps like Zello, which charge far higher fees per user.

¹ PTT never pauses when the included cap is reached. Usage over the cap is billed automatically at $0.002 per participant-minute — monthly plans see it on the next invoice, yearly plans accrue it as a running total and invoice it once at renewal. You'll receive email warnings at 80% and 100% of your included minutes. A participant-minute is one person in a PTT room for one minute.
² Recording is opt-in per organization from admin Settings. Monthly plans see the charge on your next invoice; yearly plans accrue it as a running total and invoice it once at renewal.
