Questions

What does it cost to apply or join?
Nothing. There are no fees, and no minimum number of referrals.
Do I need a GatherSafe account?
No. You don’t need the app or an account — just an email address, and a Stripe account for payouts (Stripe sets that up with you once you’re approved).
How does approval work?
We review every application ourselves and email you at the address you applied with. If you’re approved, that email contains a secure link to connect Stripe and get your referral link.
When do I get paid?
Each commission is held for 30 days after the church’s payment, then transferred to your Stripe account, which pays it out to your bank on its normal schedule.
What happens if a church gets a refund or disputes a payment?
The matching commission is cancelled, or reduced in proportion to a partial refund. If it was already paid to you, it’s taken back from your Stripe account. The hold exists so that most refunds and disputes are settled before anything is paid.
How long do I earn on a church?
For the first 12 months after that church’s first payment to GatherSafe. Payments after that earn no commission. The clock starts with the church’s first payment, not when it signs up, so a free trial doesn’t use any of it.

Program terms

  • Applications are reviewed by GatherSafe, and approval is at our discretion. You can’t earn commission until you’re approved.
  • Commission is calculated on payments GatherSafe actually receives from a church that created its account through your referral link.
  • Commission is earned only on a church’s payments during the first 12 months after its first payment. Payments after that earn no commission.
  • Each commission is held for 30 days after the church’s payment, so a refund or dispute can be settled first, and is then sent to your Stripe account.
  • If a church’s payment is refunded or disputed, the matching commission is cancelled — in proportion to a partial refund — or, if it was already paid to you, taken back from your Stripe account. If a dispute is later decided in GatherSafe’s favor, the commission is reinstated.
  • A church is credited to you when its account is created through your link. Existing GatherSafe customers can’t be credited afterward.
  • Payouts are sent to your Stripe account, and Stripe verifies your identity and sets the payout schedule. The program is open to partners based in the United States.
  • You are responsible for any taxes on what you earn.
  • Promote GatherSafe honestly. Don’t misstate its features, pricing, or security, and don’t send unsolicited bulk messages on its behalf.
  • GatherSafe may update these terms or the program, or end a partner’s participation, at any time.
